Career
Professionals, an international training, coaching and consulting firm
based in Perth, Western Australia, was founded in 1993 by
Igor S. Popovich, the Director and Principal Trainer.
Since 1997, we
have been presenting public and in-house training courses, seminars and workshops
in
Australia (Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane) and overseas
(Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain,
Singapore, South Africa, Hong Kong and Malaysia).
Our
list of valued clients includes The Australian Department
of Defence, Nabalco (AUSTRALIA), Centrelink (AUSTRALIA), ASB
Bank (New Zealand), Etisalat (DUBAI), Department of Defence
(Oman), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KUWAIT), Saudi
Aramco (SAUDI ARABIA), Bahrain Ministry of Public Works (BAHRAIN),
Qatar Gas, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Anglo-American Mining Company (SOUTH AFRICA) and many other
international clients.
Why do we strive to outshine
our competitors?
When we talk to our clients, participants
in our public or in-house courses, we listen very carefully.
Most of the time, our presenters don't have to ask any questions!
During the breaks, participants compliment them for a job
well done and the innocent question "Weren't the other
courses you've attended the same?" elicits many interesting
responses. This is what participants usually say about our
competitors, most of them so called "reputable"
and well-known training organisations:
The manual was
a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy!
The course manual
looked very amateurish, illustrations were just some old
tired clip-art, no diagrams, schematics, models, tables,
just text, text and more text, interspersed with some
irrelevant cartoons!
The course was
too abstract; I couldn't relate it to anything I do at
work.
The seating layout
was wrong, classroom style, you had to turn around to
see people behind you when they talked - U-shape would
have be much better.
The presenter didn't
listen to participants.
They misspelled
my name on the certificate.
The breaks were
too long, and there wasn't enough of them. Instead of
one long break after 2 hours, I would prefer shorter
breaks every hour or so!
The presenter's
attitude was "You are here to listen, I am here
to talk"
I didn't really
learn any new things, the course simply confirmed some
of the things that we are already doing.
We had to prepay
otherwise they would not allow us to attend the workshop.
The course brochure
was pure hype.
The course wasn't
what the brochure promised.
The presenter
was boring and lacked enthusiasm.
The Director
of the training company did not even make a token effort
to come to greet and meet with us at all during the
5-day course!
The presenter
didn't know anything about our local situation and our
industry.
We had a feeling
that the presenter didn't care about us at all, that
he was just doing his task. We want presenters who
care about us and who want to help us and teach us
from his heart, not lecture to us!
The lunch was
meagre, coffee was cheap tasting, just one type of
tea was offered, no biscuits or pastries, let alone
fruit or juice!
The presenter
wasn't culturally sensitive, he made some unwelcome
remarks about our culture and religion!
What
compliments do we receive from our satisfied clients?
Instead of listing them all here, let's simply
say they are a mirror-image of the complaints
listed above.
